The Blue River Spa and Leisure Centre at the Holyrood Hotel opened in July 2005 and is the most extensive and modern leisure and spa facility across the North West of Ireland. Access to the Blue River Spa and Leisure Centre is complimentary to guests staying at the Holyrood Hotel.
There are many exciting and luxurious feactures and facilities at this centre, including the following:
- A Jacuzzi (36oC).
- A Kiddies bubble pool (8 inches deep)
- A 14 x 8m deck level mosaic pool (30oC)
- A Scandinavian Sauna
- A 30 Station Air Conditioned Gymnasium offering treadmills, rower, stepper, kayak machines and resistance machines
- A Mossaic Aromatherapy Steam Room
- A Coffee Dock. The coffee dock overlooks the solarium and the pools, and you can sit back and relax, read a newspaper or magazine while enjoying light refreshments or snacks such as juices, scones, minerals, tea and coffee.

There are six treatment rooms at the Blue River Spa at the Holyrood, and here you can truly papmer and invigorate yourself! Treatments include the following:
- Treatment Room 1 - Here you can enjoy a relaxing seaweed bath and steam shower. This treatment lasts approximately 45 minutes.
- Treatment Room 2 - Relax in a hydrotherapy bath (200 jets) with chromo therapy ( 6 different colour mood lights). Sessions in the Blue River hydrotherapy bath last for 40 mins.
- Treatment Rooms 3 and 4 - Massages, wraps facials, manicures, etc are performed in these treatment rooms.
- Treatment Room 5 - Here you'll find a walk-in turbo sunbed, referred to as the Sunshower. Get that tan you've always wanted right here! In addition, creams are also available.
- Treatment Room 6 - This is the sports therapy room. Here you can get a fitness assessment or sports rehabilitation.
Relaxarium - After your pampering session you can follow up and indulge yourself in the relaxarium. In the relaxarium, you can unwind and relax with a freshly prepared fruit juice and take in the stunning views of Donegal Bay and Ben Wisken.
